Why canvas wall art?
Unlike a framed poster, a stretched canvas has no glass, so there's no reflection and the colour reads soft and matte from every angle, which is exactly what an aura painting needs. Each Thanksaton canvas is wrapped around a wooden stretcher frame with the image continuing on the edges, so it looks finished without a border.
Can we request custom-sized wall art?
Yes, and honestly — the bigger, the better. Most of our favourite pieces are custom: a large canvas above a sofa, an oversized print for a stairwell, a set sized to fill one specific wall. Large-format is where our art actually comes alive, so if you're thinking big, we'd love to make it.

Custom pieces are made to order, so they take a bit longer than a standard order and can't be returned or exchanged unless they arrive damaged or incorrect.
Where do aura paintings look best?
- Living room: A canvas painting naturally belongs above the sofa. A single A2 aura works over a two-seater or a console; above a full sofa, hang two or three side by side with 5–8 cm between them so the colour spans the width of the seating. A warm aura — amber, rust, sunset tones — reads well in a room you use in the evening.
- Bedroom: Over the headboard, cool and muted auras do the most work. Blues, lavenders and soft greys keep the wall quiet, which is what you want in a bedroom. Two A2 canvases centred over a queen bed are the easiest way to get the proportion right.
